The Fall of the 'COVID Czar'!

Last week, the U.S. Senate held hearings at which former Director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Dr. Anthony Fauci, testified. For those who don't know, he is the man who was responsible for managing the COVID-19 pandemic. Our former Minister of Health, A. Dulkys, is a dwarf version of this personality.

The Fall of the 'COVID Czar'!

I won't be mistaken if I say that at this time he is one of the most hated people in the U.S., having received the nickname "COVID Czar" during the tenure of former President Joe Biden. And he received this title not only for his questionable decisions aimed at managing the COVID-19 pandemic, but also for his dictatorial manner and megalomania, which became apparent when Senator Rand Paul published a collection of Fauci's "diary" entries before the hearings.*

Their content is surprising. They reveal, for example, that Fauci not only made mistakes but also deliberately misled the public about the origins of COVID-19, quarantine measures, vaccine effectiveness, and other public health issues of universal importance.**

The greatest resonance during the hearings was caused by the fact that Anthony Fauci, citing his lawyers' recommendation, invoked the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution more than a hundred times and refused to answer the Republican senator's questions, claiming that any of his answers could be used against him in a potential criminal proceeding, even though according to the U.S. Supreme Court's interpretation, a person who has received a presidential pardon*** cannot invoke it.****

Currently, more and more publications are appearing about a man who, having extraordinary powers in an extreme situation, abused his authority and what consequences this caused for the healthcare system. For instance, Mike Sabo writes in "American Reformer" about his constant attacks on doctors and medical professionals with differing opinions and reveals why American society lost trust in "experts."***** And Michael Fumento in "The American Spectator" examines how Fauci turned science into dogma, and his narcissism destroyed trust in scientific methodology.******

It was this man who managed to convince the Catholic Church in the U.S. to support the vaccination campaign, and to have Pope Francis declare the "truth" that "getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is an 'act of love'." This "truth" was enthusiastically waved by some Christians, publicly shaming those who held a different opinion.

Therefore, I would most like to share with my Catholic friends the article "The Fall of Icarus," published on the portal "The First Things." It is a very solid, and I would say, sober conservative Catholic magazine (if anyone has questions - no, it is not sympathetic to Trump).*******

This is the first step in acknowledging that the Catholic Church allowed the state (influence groups) to instrumentalize it.********

A couple of quotes:

"Comments on the Fauci diary have mostly focused on his astonishing outbursts of vanity and an apparent lack of any effort to engage with new scientific evidence or data. Instead, during a global crisis, he maniacally recorded every media attention, celebrity endorsement, and invitation to star-studded cocktail parties, including a sycophantic petition that he be named 'Sexiest Man Alive,' and stories about 'grandmothers falling in love with me.' However, this toxic level of self-regard seems to have caused an even worse phenomenon: a certain blindness that prevents even the most elementary level of self-knowledge."
"St. Augustine said that sin is its own punishment. Fauci's diary shows no awareness that the media used him just as much as he used it, or that he served as a cardboard figure – and now also as a scapegoat – for the biosecurity and pharmaceutical apparatus that exploited the crisis for its own political and financial goals. He still does not understand why many Americans look at him with contempt. Although he is falling, Fauci still thinks he is rising. To become incapable of experiencing reasonable shame or justified humiliation, however unpleasant such experiences may be, already means finding oneself in a kind of personal hell – locked in a prison of one's own mind, unable even to see the bars. I think this could be a worse punishment than a federal prison, where at least one has the opportunity to come to terms with the truth about oneself before it is too late."

Thank God, time puts everything in its place

Notes (footnotes)

  1. The 1,141-page Fauci diary includes work records he made while serving as NIAID director and covers the period from December 2019 to December 2022.
  2. For example, the records reveal that Dr. Anthony Fauci personally calculated that the COVID-19 mortality rate was significantly lower than the one he stated to Congress a month later, at the beginning of the pandemic. On March 11, 2020, the day the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 pandemic, Fauci, under oath, testified that the coronavirus patient mortality rate was 3%, compared to the initial 2%
  3. On January 19, 2025, Biden preemptively granted a pardon to Fauci, seeking to protect him from "unfounded and politically motivated prosecutions" related to COVID-19 or his role in fighting the pandemic. The pardon does not cover subsequent conduct.
  4. The Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects a person only from being compelled to give testimony that could incriminate him in a criminal case. If such a risk of criminal liability no longer exists, the privilege generally no longer applies.

  6. Fifth Amendment Fauci’s Narcissism Destroyed Faith in Scientific Methodology | The American Spectator | USA News and Politics (link in comment): "For example, various online biographical descriptions claim that Fauci is the 'author, co-author, or editor of more than 1,300 scientific publications, including several textbooks' or something similar, but always specifying the number 1,300. This would be extremely impressive in any case, but let's not forget that we are talking about a man who worked full-time in administrative positions his entire career. Would you believe that General Dwight D. Eisenhower killed 30 Germans with a trench shovel on D-Day?", says the article's author.
