How to Fight the Cultural Revolution in Lithuania?

On the other hand, it has become clear (the wiser ones always knew this) that preserving, passing on, and spreading the faith in the so-called free society is much more difficult. Above all, the faith failed to be passed on to the next generation, which, infected with liberal ideology, felt no need to spread the faith.

The Second Vatican Council contributed greatly to this, as it proclaimed not the Gospel but "adaptation to the world," which obviously contradicts the Gospel. The liturgical reform led to the decline of faith first among priests, then among the faithful. The decline of the Catholic faith in society led to the victory of liberal ideology, the result of which is the current configuration of the political system.

Let us ask the eternal question: what is to be done? Here, political solutions to the problem are often proposed - to create or support one or another political force, one or another candidate for the President of the Republic of Lithuania. These proposals are not a cure for the situation, because they only oppose the visible consequences.

In the so-called representative democracy system, no political force can simultaneously go against the voters and against the mass media. As long as voters are effectively manipulated by the mainstream media, there is no possibility for a politically incorrect force to come to power.

Somewhere in this vicious circle, a breakthrough must occur. The most suitable place is to work with people - the voters, but not on a political, but on a cultural level. For Catholics, this is a struggle within the Church, where the revolution in the Church began by the Second Vatican Council took place, whose logical consequences today are the terrible things we often hear about lately and which we do not even want to name.

In the secular sphere, it is necessary to promote traditional models - the traditional family, culture, and civilization based on Christianity, Roman law, and Greek philosophy. In doing so, these tasks should not be separated. The presence of Christian symbols in the public space is very necessary because it reminds us of our roots. The view that separates the religious sphere from the social sphere is erroneous.

Here it is worth quoting the words of the Brazilian Catholic thinker Dr. Plinio Correa de Oliveira:

"In the revolution, we can distinguish three levels, which are to a certain extent intertwined. The first, deepest level, lies in the crisis of tendencies. The tendencies of disorder, by their very essence, struggle for their realization. No longer conforming to the established order of things, to which they are hostile, those tendencies begin to act, changing mentality, the way of life and being, artistic expression, customs, for now and only for now without touching ideas.

The crisis moves from these deep layers to the ideological plane. Indeed, as Paul Bourget says in his famous work Le Démon de Midi, one must live as one thinks, which sooner or later will end with one beginning to think as one lives. Having received the impulse of deep tendencies of disorder, the new doctrines begin to flourish. At first, they occasionally seek peaceful coexistence with the old doctrines, expressing themselves in such a way as to maintain at least an outward semblance of harmony. But ultimately, this ends in open opposition.

The transformation of ideas, in turn, penetrates into the zone of facts. Here, using bloody or more peaceful means, the institutions, laws, and customs of the country are transformed both in the spheres of faith and in secular society. This is the third crisis, now fully invading the sphere of facts."

Looking at this deep analysis, we must also direct our actions primarily to the fight against tendencies and ideas, because only then will it be possible to change anything in the factual situation.
